How to Play

1. Pick a difficulty - Easy, Medium or Hard - before you start.
2. Find a word from the list on the grid, then click or tap its first letter and drag to its last letter in a straight line.
3. On a keyboard, select a starting cell, use the arrow keys to extend the selection in a straight line, then press Enter to submit it, or Escape to cancel.
4. A correctly selected word is marked as found and removed from the remaining list.
5. Find every word on the list to complete the puzzle and see your final time and score.

Difficulty Differences

Easy uses a 10x10 grid with 8 words to find. Medium steps up to a 12x12 grid with 10 words. Hard uses a larger 15x15 grid with 12 words, longer words, and is the only difficulty where words can also be hidden backwards - so on Hard, do not assume every word reads left-to-right or top-to-bottom.

Tips for Scanning the Grid

• Scan for the least common letter in a word first, such as Q, X or Z - it stands out and is quicker to spot than starting with a common letter like E or A.
• Work through the grid systematically, row by row or column by column, rather than jumping around at random.
• On Hard, remember to check diagonals and backwards directions once the obvious straight, forward-reading words are found.
• If a word will not turn up, move to a different word on the list and come back to it with fresh eyes.
